The bride and groom survived the honeymoon, and no longer is called "Newlyweds".   As some may say the "honeymoon is over."   During the first year of marriage the couple has experience what they like or dislike about their spouse.   There were probably many arguments, disagreements, and many compromises.  Now, the couple can say they survived the first round of marriage. 

Just remember not to forget the anniversay date or gift.

Get Ready, Get Set, GO!

Many married couples-to-be are sometimes similar to traffic signals such as:  green for GO, yellow for Caution, and red light for STOP.  Individual couples seem to get cold feet when the marriage question is asked.   Mentally they think they are ready to make a committement, and it's usually when they see other married couples.  They see how happy they seem, and how cozy they look together.  It makes the couple want to get married, but the yellow light starts blinking in their mind.  Caution! Caution! Caution!  Then they start second guessing the thought of marriage, maybe their parents marriage was dyfunctional, divorce, separation, and possibly abusive.  In a quick second their ready to say NO to the question of marriage.

And then red signal light occurs...STOP!  The thought of sharing the same quarters, money, and material items comes into question.  Perhaps some of those signals could be; no longer having independent freedom, to think,or to make their own decisions.  They could be thinking about learning how to compromise; because when a person is single, they usually do not have to ask or answer to anyone.  Then there is learning how to deal with someone elses habits; maybe they are a slob, neat freak, demanding or all of the above.  This is lot to think about in the short time to give a Yes or NO answer.

The mental mind can play some conning tricks on individuals deciding to get married.  But when the married couple-to-be, looks into each other eyes they sense comfort, love, and security.  Depending on how long they have known each other, they should sense they compliment each other.  Most likey they know marriage can be scary and challenging.  Embarking upon marriage can be an eye opening experience, but there are many marriages that have survived.

The most important role in marriage is to be honest, communicate, compromise, and learn to trust each other.  And by the end of the hard thought decision, the married couple-to-be choice will be a YES!  All lights get a green light and it's a GO!

Marriage is a major decision that an individual will have to make some day.  There will be signals that may say the person considered in marriage is not the right person.  Yes, some individuals walk down the isle with a person, and live to regret the moment.  Then some individuals ignore all signals flashing red.  But deep in their heart love comes through.

I Do!

I Do!

For those long time married couples, they probably forgotten these words. But for those that are about to embark upon marriage; start thinking long and hard about these three words.

The words that proceed "I Do," is usually "Do you take this woman or Do you take this man to be your lawful wife or husband."

This is where your single life might flash before your eyes...here is where a person must be sure of themselves before making a committment. Actually a person should be sure before getting to alter, but there are those that may have second thoughts.

Think about it for a moment.

You are committing yourself to a woman or man for the duration of the marriage.

Are your really ready?

The answere is YES!

Then congratulations "You may now kiss the bride!"
